[updated as changes come in...new list approx. every 6 months]

This list was created to aid the members of the Ferret Mailing List (and everyone else who cares to use it) in finding ferret shelters around the world. The shelters listed here have asked to be listed and have supplied the information shown. Because of the magnitude of the task, the information here has not been verified by the compiler of the list or the moderator of the FML.
The shelters are ordered alphabetically by location, starting with non-U.S. shelters.
If you have questions about the FML Shelter List
or want to be listed in the next FML Shelter List issue, please contact:

***************************************************************************************************************** TAX DEDUCTIONS FOR ALL!! Support Our Shelters (S.O.S.) compiles this list and is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization. EIN # 23-3062176 Donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. You may request that a specific shelter receives your gift, or we will choose the neediest shelters for you. 501(c)3 NON-PROFIT SHELTERS -- See individual listings for more info. There are many good shelters which are not 501(c)3. ************************************************************************************************************ If You'd Like To Send A Gift To A Shelter You can encourage and support the wonderful people who work so hard for the ferrets we love by sending email greetings, donating ferret gifts or supplies, contributing to paying expenses, or volunteering hands-on help. Contributions may be made directly to their vets to cover bills. Or chose a shelter or more each month and send them $5 or $10. Or join the Buck-a-Month Club at www.SupportOurShelters.org FERRET SUPPLIES: If you want to mail supplies to shelters, you can order them from one of the catalog companies and have them shipped directly to the shelter instead of paying postage twice. We began in 1998. If we did not take them in regardless of age, health, or disposition, most would be euthanized. We receive calls from agencies in three counties, and currently house 65 little fuzzies. We work both on a local level, & on the internet, to better the care & lives of ferrets everywhere. We specialize in older & hospice babies here, as well as abused, mis-treated, abandoned & unwanted castoffs. Many here have health issues, and are on meds for life. Average age is 5 1/2, average number of adrenal ferrets on lupron is 19, average number of insulinomic ferrets is 14. There are several little ones with lymphoma here, as well. Many need special care. All have found a safe, loving place to live out the rest of their days in comfort & joy. Due to the fact that we stand by these sweethearts until the end, we do not adopt out to the general public. There are no adoption fees coming in. We are a 501(C)(3) not for profit organization, and donations to help the fuzzies are tax deductable to the fullest extent of the law. Anyone wishing to visit our facility, or come learn about ferrets, please call one of the phone numbers above for directions. Our little ones love visitors! Wish List Ideas: More volunteers, more sponsors, gift certificates to KV Vet Supply, Jeffers, The Ferret Depot , Ferret.com, or Walmart. Any money sent to our vets would be deeply appreciated. We are very grateful for any any help with the ongoing expense of lupron. Prayers too. Thanks. ************************************************************************ INDIANA ************************************************************************ Circle City Ferret Club Dr. Angela Lennox, D.V.M. info@circlecityferretclub.org Avian & Exotic Animal Clinic, Inc. Although we still do rescues, we refer surrenders and take our rescues to Mason Lowrey (see entry below). Currently the club has 7 unadoptable ferrets that we are supporting. Excess funds go to Mason to support her shelter. Mason is in the planning stages of building a bigger free standing shelter and the club will do everything within our means to help her reach her goals so that Indiana does have a centrally located ferret shelter. The Circle City Ferret Club is focusing our efforts on education so that fewer ferrets end up needing to be rescued or surrendered. ************************************************************************ Katherine & Dale Hood Pet Health Center Ferreteyes2@aol.com 2509 HWY 77 DaleTiggerDad2@aol.com Lynn Haven, FL 32444 Ferreteyes 4 Ever 850-265-0200 410 S.
