Zoo`s Ferret Sanctuary is the only facility in 79 miles devoted exclusively to ferret care and protection.
We began in 1998.
If we did not take them in regardless of age, health, or disposition, most would be euthanized. We receive
calls from agencies in three counties, and currently house 65 little fuzzies. We work both on a local level,
& on the internet, to better the care & lives of ferrets everywhere.
We specialize in older & hospice babies here, as well as abused, mis-treated, abandoned & unwanted castoffs.
Many here have health issues, and are on meds for life. Average age is 5 1/2, average number of adrenal
ferrets on lupron is 19, average number of insulinomic ferrets is 14. There are several little ones with
lymphoma here, as well. Many need special care. All have found a safe, loving place to live out the rest
of their days in comfort & joy.
Due to the fact that we stand by these sweethearts until the end, we do not adopt out to the general public.
There are no adoption fees coming in.
We are a 501(C)(3) not for profit organization, and donations to help the fuzzies are tax deductable to the
fullest extent of the law.

for directions. Our little ones love visitors!

We are no longer a shelter. Although we still do rescues, we refer
surrenders and take our rescues to Mason Lowrey (see entry below).
Currently the club has 7 unadoptable ferrets that we are supporting.
Excess funds go to Mason to support her shelter. Mason is in the
planning stages of building a bigger free standing shelter and the club
will do everything within our means to help her reach her goals so that
Indiana does have a centrally located ferret shelter.
The Circle City Ferret Club is focusing our efforts on education so
that fewer ferrets end up needing to be rescued or surrendered.
